Friend, Coach, Longtime USBC Board Member, Joke Teller, Teammate, and many more titles are what we all had in Mel.  I can't think of any other one person who touched so many lives in the bowling community as Mel did in the past 20 plus years.  Never to busy to help out with your bowling game, young or old, never to busy to help out at a local tournament, never to busy to just sit and talk.  Who else could: sell a pair of  shoes, drill a ball and tell a joke between frames while bowling ??  He was the one you could count on to fill a team spot, doubles partner or bracket.  Mel was the one who always teamed up with the "new bowlers: in our City Tournaments.   He will be missed by all of us for a long time.

 Joe Graves won the div. 5 singles title and Gary Emola won the div. 3 all/events title at the completed Texas State USBC Tournament in San Antonio. 

 At the Texas State Women's Tournament in Lubbock,  Family Affair is in 5th place in div. 5 team with a score of 3408.   Also, in div. 2 doubles,  Shannon Ballard and Vicki Loyd are in 6th place with a 1418 score. div. 5 singles-sue matejka 80th place with a 710 score, kim payne in 75th place with a 714 score.  div. 4 singles-charlene lusk 108 place  with a 695 score, div. 2 singles- pat herrin with a  690 for 53rd place.  Good bowling ladies. 

We have a couple sets of plastic pins, balls and carpet lanes that we need to give away.  If anyone knows of a child care center or youth group that would like to have a set, please contact me through this website. 

Several Teams bowled the last couple of weekends and I will post scores and places won after final results are in. 

   This Annual Meeting will also be our League Officers Meeting to hand out supplies for next  fall, which is coming up really fast if I must say so. looking forward to a really great year. lots of new summer bowlers this year, should be the same for the fall leagues.
