LOCAL BOWLER TO BE PART OF YOU TUBE/BOWL TV LIVE STREAMING FROM BATON ROUGE, LA DURING USBC OPEN CHAMPIONSHIPS
On May 20, 2012 at 2:30pm local time, click over to www.youtube.com/bowltv and see some live streaming from the River Center in Baton Rouge, La. The featured team will be Carol Norman's "storming" Pro Shop team with wpba stars Carol Norman, Liz Johnson, Donna Conners and a couple of other notable names. On the same pair of lanes will be there companion team, Brew Crew from Houston. Local standout bowler Bubba Haney, Rick Miner, his son Paul, and Cory Atkinson will tackle the tough conditions in the USBC Open. Bubba just added another 300 game to his list April 22, during the recent City Tournament. When asked how many 300's he has had, he doesn't really know. I checked the Bowling Hall of Fame records and found 15 300 games and 9 800 series since 1999. He holds the all time city record for high series with a 857. Paul and Cory bowled here in College Station while attending Texas A & M, and there names came up on the honor score list quite a few times. Rick Miner has one of the highest all time averages for the USBC Open Championships for several years now, and is a Champion on the SASBA Senior tour. Should be something to watch.

MORE TEXAS STATE USBC OPEN TITLES FOR LOCAL BOWLERS ??
With only 2 weekends left of the Texas State USBC Open Tournament, some Brazos Valley bowlers are sitting in first place. Cody & Robby Henley are in first place in Div. 5 Doubles with a 1741 score, Robby is also in 3rd place in Div. 5 All Events. On the Scratch Events, Billy Hargett & Bubba Haney are in 1st place in Doubles with a 1448, and Bubba is also in 2nd place in scratch all events. I know of 3 more teams going May 26-27, maybe we can add to the list of Champions. If there scores hold on, it will be like the 5th year in a row that the Brazos Valley has produced a State Champion.
